The numbers
- Every funded race adds 10 credits to that day's Purse, so a seven-race card gives you 70 to spend.
- You can put at most 30 credits on any one race.
- An Each-way pick splits evenly between its Win and Place halves, so a 5 Each-way pick costs 10 credits in total.
- Picks lock 15 minutes before the off.
Place Terms
Each-way terms come from how many horses actually start and whether the race is a handicap.
| Actual starters | Race | Terms |
|---|---|---|
| 2–4 | Any | Win only |
| 5–7 | Any | 1/4 odds, first 2 |
| 8+ | Non-handicap | 1/5 odds, first 3 |
| 8–11 | Handicap | 1/5 odds, first 3 |
| 12–15 | Handicap | 1/4 odds, first 3 |
| 16+ | Handicap | 1/4 odds, first 4 |
If fewer than five horses start, an Each-way pick becomes a Win pick for the same total Outlay.
