Free to PlayTwo Selections Per Race
For every race, pick a Main horse to win, and a Backup just in case your main choice is declared a non-runner.
15-Minute Deadline
All selections and wildcards lock exactly 15 minutes before the start of each individual race.
The Daily Wildcard
Once per day (per meeting), you can designate a single race as your Wildcard race. Scoring for your selection in that specific race is doubled. Choose carefully to maximize your payout!
Scoring Engine
We settle at Starting Price (SP). Think in fractional odds first; decimal is shown in brackets. Places paid depend on how many runners actually start (non-runners are excluded).
Win (1st Place)
Full Win OddsIf your horse wins, you get full SP odds on a 10-point base.
10 × (fractional odds + 1)
Equivalent decimal version: 10 × decimal odds
Place (Runner Band Rules)
1/4 Odds Place TermsIf your horse is placed, you score at one-quarter odds. Places paid change by field size using runners that actually start.
10 × ((fractional odds / 4) + 1)
Equivalent decimal version: 10 × (((decimal odds - 1) / 4) + 1)
- 1-4 runners: win only (1st)
- 5-7 runners: 1/4 odds, first 2
- 8-15 runners: 1/4 odds, first 3
- 16+ runners: 1/4 odds, first 4
Exceptions & Edge Cases
Non-Runners
If your main pick is a non-runner, your backup pick is used. If both are non-runners, you receive 0 points. Non-runners do not count towards runner totals for place terms. If a horse starts, it counts as a runner.
Did Not Finish (DNF)
If your horse starts but doesn't complete (fell, pulled up, unseated rider, etc.), it's 0 points. Finishes outside the paid places for that runner band are also 0 points.
Precision
Points are mathematically calculated with 2 decimal places precision in the backend, but displayed on leaderboards with 1 decimal place (e.g., 12.58 points displays as "12.6 pts"). Ties are broken by total winners picked.
The League System
Your selections automatically compete in all leagues you are a member of. However, League Administrators can customize the rules.
